The Apple EarPod Earphones MD827ZM/A are a popular choice for many people due to their quality and durability. However, it is important to consider the non-native EMF radiation that they emit, particularly through their use of static magnets. These magnets create a static magnetic field that can be detected by a gauss meter. Since the earphones are often used in close proximity to the body, it is important to limit exposure to these fields.
To overcome this issue, Native EMF recommends using anti-radiation hollow-tube earphones as an alternative. These earphones are growing in popularity and can be found online. Although they are not a perfect solution, as the speaker magnet still exists for each ear insert, it is located closer to the chest instead of the head, which reduces exposure to non-native EMF radiation.
In terms of the Apple EarPod Earphones MD827ZM/A, they have a Native EMF safety rating of 3/10 due to the high SMF radiation emitted through the earphones. When tested, the cables that run from the phone to the earphones did not emit detectable HAE fields or LAM-MAM. These apple headphones are known for their quality and durability and therefore very popular, below are the SMF measurements for each ear:
We also measured the cabes that run from the phone to the eaphones speakers while plugged into an iPhone playing an MP3 and there were not detectable HAE fields or LAM-MAM.
Native EMF Safety rating: 3/10
Alternative Replacement: Stereo Hollow-Tube Earphones
In order to overcome the high SMF radiation directly to a person head/through the ears, and to limit other fields that may be emanating from the earphone device wiring Native EMF recommend Anti-Radiation Hollow-tube earphones which have been growing in popularity recently.
These can be found here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Single-Anti-radiation-Acoustic-Headset-Headphone-Stereo-Air-Tube-3-5mm-Earphone-/401010841730?hash=item5d5e1bd882:g:T9kAAOSwhcJWHi3i
